The International Clinical TMS Certification Course is one of the world’s most comprehensive and established training programs in transcranial magnetic stimulation. Led by internationally recognized experts, the course combines academic lectures on state-of-the-art neuromodulation with intensive, supervised hands-on training. Upon successful completion of the curriculum and assessments, participants are awarded an officially accredited Clinical TMS Certification.
This course is designed for medical specialists, clinical practitioners, healthcare professionals, researchers, psychologists, therapists, and technicians who wish to integrate TMS into their clinical practice or research programs.
Practical training takes place in small, interactive groups with direct faculty supervision, allowing participants to develop real operator skills through extensive hands-on practice. As a device-independent and vendor-inclusive programme, the Academy provides access to all major TMS systems used in clinical practice. Participants may choose to gain experience across multiple platforms to appreciate their similarities, differences, and clinical applications, or they may focus their practical training on the system most relevant to their own practice. This flexible approach ensures that every participant develops confidence and proficiency in operating TMS safely and effectively while benefiting from an unbiased, industry-independent educational environment.
Participants will master both standard and advanced clinical protocols in psychiatry, neurology, and rehabilitation; learn to safely and effectively deliver a broad range of TMS therapies; become proficient in TMS operation and treatment delivery; and understand current international clinical guidelines and best practices. The curriculum covers the complete clinical pathway—from patient selection, screening, and safety to personalised targeting, treatment planning, accelerated and optimised treatment protocols, treatment delivery, troubleshooting, and clinical decision-making—equipping participants with the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to implement TMS successfully in everyday clinical practice.
The course is highly structured to optimize learning. Mornings are dedicated to comprehensive theoretical lectures and clinical case studies covering current evidence-based approaches. Afternoons are entirely focused on intensive, small-group hands-on training sessions under the direct supervision of our expert faculty. This balanced approach ensures you can confidently translate theory into practice.
Both programs cover the identical theoretical curriculum and lead to the same official Clinical TMS Certification. The key difference is the format of the practical training:
• In-Person Live Courses: Practical hands-on training is conducted live over three days at one of our international venues, allowing for face-to-face networking and immediate physical guidance across multiple TMS devices.
• On-Demand Online Program: Designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to complete all theoretical modules online at your own pace. The practical hands-on training is conducted remotely via a live, one-on-one video-supervised session, utilizing specialized camera setups.
No, prior hands-on experience is not required. Our faculty and support staff will guide you through all the necessary steps, starting from the basic fundamentals.
